Edith Geraldine Mcphetridge

Geraldine "Gerry" Spitzer McPhetridge, 88, passed away on May 10, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, James McPhetridge. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and is survived by Gail (Roger) Tucker, Cheryl (Tony) Samples, Matthew Tucker, Abigail Samples, Caitlin Samples, and several nieces and nephews. The youngest of 10 children of William and Martha Spitzer, she graduated from Halls High School in 1951. She was an avid bowler at Fountain Lanes for many years and loved camping, boating, and travelling. She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church for more than 60 years. The family would like to thank the staff of South High Senior Living for the loving care that was given to Gerry in her last months. Friends and family may call at their convenience on Thursday, May 13, 2021, from 10:00am to 6:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City. The family will meet for a private graveside service at Sharon Baptist Church, to be officiated by Rev. Mark McCoig, Dr. Jim Robertson, and Rev. Dennis Blazier. Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Tucker, Tony Samples, Matthew Tucker and Harold Holbert. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice in her memory.
