Edith A. Tindell Turner of Corryton, TN went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the age of 94. Born April 4, 1922, Edith professed faith in Christ at an early age. She was a member of Emory Valley Baptist Church and was organist for 15 years at Clear Branch Baptist Church. After retiring from Alpha Industries, she enjoyed her time with family and friends. Preceded in death by loving husband, Elmer Turner; mother, Lurena Foust Tindell; father, Walter Alonzo Tindell; sister, Thelma Anderson; brother, Thurman Tindell; sister-in-law, Mary Tindell; brothers-in-law, Hubert Anderson and Bill Nelson. Survived by sister, Aubie Nelson and special friend, Angela Sexton. Several nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Special thank you to Bonnie Cassady, the family, neighbors, and friends that took care of her. Serving as pallbearers are Dean, Tony, and Joel Nelson, Ron Anderson, Tom Whitt and Richard Duncan. Funeral service 7PM Sunday Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, Rev. Charlie Tindell and Rev. Richard Nicely officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45AM Monday at Milan Baptist Church Cemetery for interment service. Family will receive friends Sunday 5-7PM Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
