Eddie Earl Phibbs

Eddie Earl Phibbs, age 70, of Andersonville went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2017 after a brave battle with cancer. He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher. He was a retired Drafting Engineer who loved antique cars and frequented many car shows with his friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry & Lorine Phibbs; half-brothers, Robert and Buddy Phibbs; half-sisters, Mary Louise Phibbs and Juanita Adcock. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rhonda Phibbs; brother, Jim Phibbs and wife Shirley; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Mount Olive Baptist Church of Andersonville. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, with funeral service to follow at 8:00 pm. Rev. Jerry Walton and Rev. James Tharp will be officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am, Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Andersonville for graveside service at 11:00 am.
