Earl J. Beeler, (E.J.), born on December 18, 1941, passed away on June 4, 2013, with his family by his side. He was 71 years old, retired from Toms Foods as an over the road truck driver with 31 years of safe driving, and was a veteran of the Army serving his country from 1964-1966. He attended Loveland Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by father, Earl F. Beeler and mother Gladys Alpha Hensley Beeler. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Judy Scates Beeler, son Kevin and wife Betty (Boggs), daughter, Lisa Beeler Ward, and his precious grandson Castin Ray Ward, affectionally known as “Wormy”, sister, Gladys Sue Keller of Florida, his aunt Ida Mae Shown, several cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers, and sisters-in-law. The family would like to thank nurses and doctors at UT Hospital, 2 North Trauma Unit for their compassion. Service will be 7:30pm Friday at Loveland Baptist Church, Rev. Jason Walker and Rev. Danny Scates officiating. Family and friends will meet Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City by 10:30am and proceed to Greenwood Cemetery for interment at 11am. Pallbearers: Kenneth, Mark and Ralph Scates, Alger King, Eddie and Tim Hall. Honorary pallbearers: Wayne Metcalf, Darrell Atkins, Aaron McGinnis and Logan and David Scates. Family will receive friends 5-7:30pm Friday at Loveland Baptist Church. Arrangements by Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City.
