Duane Todd Allen, age 50 of Halls, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at home with his family after an extended battle with pancreatic cancer. Todd was a member of Midway Missionary Baptist Church in Claiborne County and had attended and served as a volunteer at Faith Promise Church for the past 15 years. He served as a Register Nurse for over 20 years. Todd was known for his handstands (sometimes in the most precarious of locations), his love of hiking, photography, and martial arts. More than anything he loved the Lord and his family and he enjoyed being able to witness to people down the street or across the globe in Spain about the love of Christ. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 22 years, Amanda Shea Walker Allen; his beautiful children, Samantha Shea Allen and Christian Walker Allen; parents, Jerry Lee and Wanda Sue Byington Allen; siblings, Darrell Wayne Allen (Lisa) of Halls and Gary Shane Allen of Claiborne County; niece, Brooke Tyler Allen; nephew, Hunter Lee Allen and a host of special friends and family. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Lynn Barnard and the late Janet Barnard of Claiborne County and to Dr. Alan Hemming of San Diego, CA for the support they have provided for Todd and the family. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 18, 2022, from 5:00-8:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. The Celebration of Life service will be private with Rev. Dale Parker and Rev. Dean Brantley to officiate. Serving as honorary pallbearers: Darrell Allen, Bryan Best, Hunter Allen, Anthony Mountain, Mike (Sambo) Bussell, Ethan Parker, Mike Baker, Dale Parker, and Dean Brantley. In lieu of flowers donations should be sent to Faith Promise Church www.faithpromise.org in memory of Todd. Condolences for the family may be shared at www.mynattfh.com.
