Duane Edward Jones

Duane E. Jones, age 61, of North Knoxville passed away at his home on August 7, 2013. He was of the Baptist faith. He retired after 20 years of service in the U.S. Navy. He was most recently employed at Wal-Mart on Clinton Highway. He was preceded in death by his father Charley M. Jones Jr., mother Lucille Goins Rutherford, step-fathers Earl Rutherford and Archie L. Carnes, and great-nephew Jacob Tudor. He is survived by his sister Myra Tudor and husband Wayne, nephew Greg Tudor and wife Kathy, niece Jenny Everett and husband Michael, great-niece Mackenzie Tudor, great-nephews Jonah and Elijah Tudor and several other aunts, cousins and other loved ones. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Wal-Mart’s management and staff for their care and concern. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM Tuesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel and proceed to Tennessee Veteran’s Cemetery for inurnment service and military honors at 11:30. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
