Douglas Ray Farmer, born August 10, 1954 in Knoxville, TN, passed away peacefully and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 23, 2021. His life was his testimony to the glory of God. He was a graduate of Fulton High School of 1972. He was a long-time member of Sister Polly’s Pentecostal Church, Park West Church of God, and Knoxville Christian Center. He was a preacher in his early years and many would say he preached with the fire of God. He worked as a heat and air repair technician, car salesman, and house painter. It made him happy to give people a good deal and to bless people anytime he could. While he blessed so many people, his biggest blessing was given to his daughter by being a loving, devoted, fun and one of a kind father. He is preceded in death by his mother, Opal Mae (Hall) Farmer; father, Ernest Pete Farmer; sister, Shelby Jean Baldwin; brothers, Ray Darrell Farmer, Larry Dale Farmer, Marvin Lamar Farmer. He is survived by his living ex-spouse and best friend, Karen Reed; daughter, Stacy Lynne Farmer Frank; nephews, Chris Farmer, Michael Farmer, Jeffrey Farmer, Kevin Baldwin, David Farmer; niece, Rhonda Farmer. Family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 6:00pm until time of Memorial Service at 7:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Rev. Eddie Myers officiating.
