Dorothea Mildred Linville Poore, age 93, of Knoxville. A child of God came to this earth to be a daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother in law, and friend to all she came in contact with, went home to be with the Lord on August 2, 2012. She joins her husband, Earl, son Gene Burnette, parents, brothers and sister who had gone on before her. She was a member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church since 1959 and a faithful member of the Eastern Star. We who remain will miss her but have been blessed to have had her as our guide for as long as we have. She always had a listening heart and comforting word. She loved her sons fiercely and was quick to tell anyone how proud of them she was. It never mattered who we brought home she was ready with a smile and a hug. She has said many times that she was ready for the Lord to take her home, now she is finally Home. Survived by sons and daughters in law, Jim and Lacy Poore, Birmingham, AL, Mike and Debbie Poore, Lexington, NC, Ed and Susan Poore, Knoxville, daughter in law, Carolyn Burnette, Foley, AL, 11 grandchildren, 16 grandchildren, brother John Linville and several nieces and nephews.
