Dorothy V. Kitts Keck

Dorothy V. Kitts Keck, age 89, of Maryville, former longtime resident of Fountain City, went home to be with her Lord July 26, 2014. She loved her family and had faithfully succeeded in serving them all with ever fiber of her being. She attended Sevier Heights Baptist Church which she loved. She was loved and respected by all who knew her and enjoyed every day of her life. In her honor, the family would like to thank her precious caretakers, Dr. Mark Green, and everyone who helped her in any way throughout her life, especially in her last days. She was preceded in death by her loving and faithful husband of 67 years Glenn Edward Keck, her mother and father Fate and Lucy Kitts, and ten brothers and sisters. Survivors include son Larry Keck and wife Patti of Knoxville, daughters Brenda Vesser of Maryville, and Diane Pershing and special friend Alan Ubl of West Palm Beach, Florida, grandchildren Lorri Keck Ryan and husband Todd, Lanna Smith and husband Eddie, Vicki Milligan, Sherrie Harrison and husband Maurice, Ashlea Settlemyre and husband Jamison, and Whitney Pershing, great grandchildren Katie Beth Crye, Lauren and Trenton Smith, Hunter Lane and wife Brittany, Cameron Johnson, Mallory Tucker, Thea and Zoi Harrison, great great granddaughter Karlie Lane, and sister Estelle Smith. We will celebrate her life 8 PM Monday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with her nephew Rev. John Collette of Nashville officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 AM Tuesday at Greenwood Cemetery for interment at 11 AM. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City.
