Dorothy Marie Settle Parris

Dorothy Marie Settle Parris, age 89 went home to be with the Lord on February 11, 2015, Marie was a member of Valley View Baptist Church. She was a longtime resident at Hillcrest North. Marie retired from Standard Knitting Mill after 25 years of service. Marie was a member of Bright Hope Lodge No. 557 F. & A. M. Masonic Temple of Fountain City. Marie is preceded in death by husband Arthur L. Parris Sr.; daughter Roslyn “Cookie” Henry. Survived by loving and devoted son and wife, Arthur L. Parris Jr. and Debbie Parris; grandkids Brian Henry, John Parris, Amy Parris Lane; Great- grandkids Chase, Kaylee, Hunter, Sam, and Sophia. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staffat Hillcrest North for the excellent care of our beloved family member. The family will receive friends Friday 5-8pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Family will meet 9:15am Saturday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for interment at 9:30am, Pastor Justin Pratt and Rev. Charlie Lynch officiating.
