Dorothy Mae Smith

Dorothy Mae Smith, age 76 of Knoxville, passed away July 29, 2020. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family. She was a caretaker and a “mamaw” to everyone. Preceded in death by mother and father, Ruby Mae and James Frank Smith, brothers James Michael Smith, Raymond Smith, and James David Smith, sisters Barbara Jean Atchley, Ivalee Mynatt, and Rachel Lorene Smith. Survived by daughter Karen Smith, granddaughter Makayla Smith, grandson Mykal Jordan (Brianna), great-granddaughter Jessie Brielle, sisters Francis Miller (Hugh), Martha Reed, several nieces, nephews, cousins, special family, Tony and Tevin Gunn, Trinnis, Angie and Vernon Cooks, as well as lots of special family and friends. Family and friends will meet at Eastview Memorial Gardens on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 2:45 pm for a 3:00 pm graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for funeral costs.
