Dorothy Louise Hughes

Our earthly angel, Dorothy Louise Hughes gained her heavenly wings at her home August 14, 2021. Preceded in death by parents Roy and Ruth Merritt and former husband Donald Hughes. Survived by daughters Jackie (Bill) Snelson, Becky (Frelan) McNeal, sons Ray (Jennifer) Hughes, and Chris Hughes (Shanda LaRue), grandchildren Melissa Snelson, Tony McNeal, Jason McNeal, Jonathan Hughes, Camden Hughes, and Hayden Hughes, 5 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and several cherished nieces and nephews and many lifelong friends. Special thank you to UT Hospice for the thoughtful care and support. Family will receive friends 5:00-8:00pm Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Family and friends will meet 10:45am Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery for an 11:00am graveside service, Rev. Charlie Tindell officiating.
