Kay Dawson

Kay Dawson age 81 of Corryton, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was a member of Clapps Chapel United Methodist Church since 1971 and retired from K.U.B. after many years of service in the Human Resources Department.  Kay loved the outdoors, scrapbooking and spending time with her family.    Preceded in death by husband of 57 years, Jack Dawson; parents, William O. and Imogene Brewer; sister, Janice Robbins; brother, Darrell Brewer; special friend and caregiver; Liz Carmon.  Survivors; son and daughter-in-law; Sam and Penny Dawson; granddaughter, Savanna Dawson; sisters, Sue Clapp and Kathy (Greg) Cardwell; brother, Mike (Judy) Brewer; several nieces and nephews.  Special thanks to her loving caregivers; Crystal, Christy, Felicia and Elaine.  The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City.  Family and friends will meet 1:45 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Phillips-Keck Cemetery, New Tazewell for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service, Rev.
