Dorothy Ann Sain

Dorothy (Dot) Ann Cantrell Sain of Knoxville, TN, age 80, passed away peacefully at Morning Pointe Powell on August 30, 2018. Dot was born on April 18, 1938 in McMinnville, TN. She is survived by her children Susan Sain Wagner of Pewaukee, WI, Sharon Sain (Brian) Yarbrough of Halls Cross Roads, TN and Tim (Tina) Sain of Jonesborough, TN and 7 grandchildren, Christopher and Katherine Wagner, Hunter and Katelyn Yarbrough, Carolyn, Marybeth and Raygan Sain. Dot was preceded in death by her spouse Howard B. Sain, parents, Granderson Lafayette (Fate) and Annie Lucille (Newby) Cantrell, brother Billy Gene Cantrell, and sister Joyce Marie (Cantrell) Greer. Dot graduated from McMinnville High School in McMinnville, TN and attended Tennessee Technological University. She retired from Knox County Schools. In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, was a member of the Red Hat Society, a Red Cross Volunteer and active in the John T. O’Connor Senior Center. Mynatt Funeral Home – Halls Chapel, 4131 East Emory Road, Knoxville, TN 37938 is serving the family. Those wishing to pay their respects are invited to join the family for a graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery in Fountain City, TN on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11am.
