Donald Wayne Young, unwavering servant of the Lord, went with Jesus to his heavenly home on June 5, 2016. He retired from Martin Marietta and was a member of Dutch Valley Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents Rufus and Mary Young; 3 sisters and 1 brother. Survived by wife and best friend of 19 years, Betty Young; children Jason Young, Mary Rose Jackson and husband Tommy, and Kimberly White and husband Bob; grandchildren, Storm, Blade, Steven and wife Megan, and Whitney and husband Matt; great-grandchildren, Julian, Annie, Jamie, and Hayden; sisters Katherine, Linda Gail, and Trudy; brothers, John Turner and Johnny Young and wife Sharon; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral service will be 8pm Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, Rev. Charlie Reynolds officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45am Thursday at Greenwood Cemetery for 11am interment. Family will receive friends 6-8pm Wednesday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
