Donald Ray Rimmer, age 71 of Knoxville, left to be with the Lord on Saturday March 31, 2018 after a long battle with the effects of agent orange and PTSD. He was a long-time member of BOHBC which he loved and along with his church family. He was a US Army Veteran serving from 1968-1976 mostly in Vietnam War as a helicopter door gunner. He was preceded in death by parents William L Rimmer and Anna May Lynn Rimmer, sister Glenda Clevenger and brother Robert Rimmer and Thomas Rimmer. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sharon Sims Rimmer of Knoxville, daughter Lori Jenkins and sons Lance (Stacy) Coleman and Eric (Patti) Coleman, sister Edna Underwood (Wayne) and brother Jerry Rimmer (Patty), grandchildren Sidney Coleman, Jakob Coleman, Morgan Coleman, Cierra Coleman, Emma Adcox, Sayde Sanchez, Ty Coleman and Abigail Coleman, great-granddaughter Isabella Coleman, his fur child Callie and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Family will receive friends 2:00-4:00p.m. Sunday April 8, 2018 at Black Oak Heights Baptist Church with service to follow. Rev. Jack Parrot and Rev. Todd Stinnett officiating.
