Donald Ray Norton former employee of Aisin Automotive of 15 years, and a lifelong resident of Union County, passed away after a long battle with cancer on December 30,2020 in his home. Donald was born December 29, 1958. HE was a strong willed, hard working man, master of all trades who specialized in wood work. Donald was a man of good conversation, who never met a stranger. He was a “good ole country boy” who never missed ginseng season. Donald was always a family man, but most of all he was one proud papaw! He was a man of his Christian beliefs and always commended service people. Donald will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and anyone who was lucky enough to know him. Donald is survived by his wife Carol Norton, parents Mable and Elwood Flatford, brothers Clifford (Cheryl) Norton and Michael Norton, children Eddie (Starla) Blackburn, Michelle Snyder, and Shyla Gray, grandchildren Kelsey, Tyler, Bailee, Lacie, Patrick, Nick, Ariona, and Desmond, very special great-grandson Asher Jones, great-grandchildren Isabella and Dylan, nephew Andy (Caylee) Norton, niece Alex Norton, great-nephews Jackson and Waylon. Family will receive friends 4:00-6:00pm Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with service to follow at 6:00pm, Rev. Kyle Shell officiating.
