Donald Ray Longmire

Donald Ray Longmire, age 82, of Knoxville passed away peacefully in his sleep Friday, August 18, 2017. He was a career employee of Dempster Brothers working in the engineering department and later as a sales consultant. Following his career with Dempster Brothers, he was employed with The Heil Company as a sales consultant until his retirement in 2001. He was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by parents Kyle and Glynn Longmire and father and mother-in-law, Elmer and Edith Norton. Don is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy Jo Longmire; children, Andy Longmire and wife Sue, Donna Longmire and Amy Davis and husband Lynn; grandchildren, Jacob, Samantha, David, Kyle, Rachel, Jon and Susanna. The family will receive friends Monday, August 21, 2017 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with a celebration of life immediately following at 7:00pm. Friends and family will meet 10:45am, Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at Greenwood Cemetery for graveside service at 11:00am.
