Donald Lee Jenes, age 70, of Halls Crossroads passed away August 28, 2018, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Furse. He retired from Merita Bread Company after 33 years of service. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents John R. and Vonceal Jenes. He is Survived by his loving wife of 46 years Claudia “Katie” Widner Jenes; son Jamie Lee Jenes; daughter Niki (Dusty) Wheeles; grandchildren Tucker, Kayla, and Baylee Jenes and Ethan and Cameron Wheeles; brothers Eddie, Dennis, Darrell and Randy Jenes; sisters Brenda Jenes, Gayle (Larry) Jones and Libby Glover. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00pm, Thursday, at Salem Baptist Church with funeral service to follow at 8:00pm, with Rev. Allen James, Rev. Toby Everett and Rev. Wayne Henderson officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:00am, Friday, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel and proceed to Lynnhurst Cemetery for interment at 11:00am.
