Donald “Duck” Doyle Cole, Sr., age 87, of Corryton passed away 12:23 am Monday, April 19, 2021 at the family home, surrounded by his family. He was a member of North Acres Baptist church. Preceded in death by sons, Donald Doyle Cole, Jr., and Steven Cole; granddaughter, Laurie Cole; father, Arlie Cole; mother, Lucy Cole. Survived by wife of 65 years, Betty Sue (Reach) Cole; daughter-in-law, Diane Cole Payton (Rob); granddaughter, Kristen Cole Sample (Colton); great grandson; Maddux Doyle Sample; special cousins, Bob Cole (Linda); special neighbors, Mick and Brenda McDaniel; several nieces and nephews, friends, neighbors, and church family. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, followed by a 7:00 pm funeral service, Rev. William Purvis officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:30 am Friday, April 23, 2021 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel to leave in procession for a 12:00 pm graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery.
