Donald "Donnie" Davis

Donald “Donnie” Davis passed away July 2, 2016. He was born November 3, 1961. He attended Heritage High School in Maryville, TN and adult literacy classes at Old Knoxville High School. Throughout the years Donnie worked as a butcher, in the kitchen at Red Lobster, for Goodwill Industries, and as a vendor at the 1982 World’s Fair. Donnie was preceded in death by parents Evan Davis, Jr. and Louise Dixon, sister Joyce Davis Denny, and sister-in-law Shirley Davis. Survivors include sisters Carol Davis Thompson and husband Eddie, and Velda Davis Hicks and husband David, brother Alvin Davis, nieces and nephews Stephanie, Keri, Johnathan, Jessi, Alex, Heather, Brandy, and April, great nieces and great nephews Savannah, Zeke, Desi, Kaydee, Kameron, Kerigan, Rebecca, Tyler, Matt, Emily, and Anais, special friend of 19 years Melissa Lahman, and friend Chad Bolin. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Tuesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with funeral service to follow at 7 pm with Dr. Bruce Martin officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:45 am Wednesday at Caylor’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Townsend, TN for interment at 12 pm.
