Don Franklin Vaskovsky

Don Franklin Vaskovsky, age 79 of Knoxville, formally of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away at 3:10 am, Thursday, January 23, 2020 at his home surrounded by family. He was born May 23, 1940 in Berwyn, Illinois. He served in the U.S. Army for 6 years and retired from Lunkenheimer Valve Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. Preceded in death by wife Diana Vaskovsky, parents Frank and Helen Vaskovsky, sister Carol Ann Newman. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Gary, Sr. Lawhorn of Knoxville; sons Donald and Christina Vaskovsky, Douglas and Jennifer Vaskovsky of Ohio; grandchildren: Darik (Samantha) Vaskovsky, Dianna Vaskovsky, Donald Vaskovsky, Gary Lawhorn, Jr., and Samantha R. (Michael S.) Jones; eleven great grandchildren. Family and friends will meet at 11:15 am, Tuesday, January 28, 2020 for 11:30 am service at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier Highway with Chaplain Reid Gerhardt, officiating. Family and friends may call at their convenience from 1-6 pm Sunday, January 26, 2020 and Monday, from 9am – 6pm, January 27, 2020 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City.
