Don C. Whitson

Don C. “Joe” Whitson, age 73, formerly of Maynardville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Physicians Regional Medical Center. Attended Shady Baptist Church in Kodak, Tn. Preceded in death by parents, Ernie & Elsie Whitson. Sister & Brother-in-law, Shirley & Bill Monroe. Brother, Danny Whitson. Survivors: daughter & son-in-law, Tammy & Terry Harms. Grandsons: Brandon Harms and Adam Harms. Sister & brother-in-law, Carolyn & Earl Savage. Sister-in-law, Wanda Whitson. Former wife, Sharon Whitson and several nieces & nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Mark Johnson and staff. Funeral service 8pm Saturday, Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City. Rev. Greg Jones officiating and eulogy by Curtis Whitson. Family & friends will meet at 1:45pm Sunday at Sharp Cemetery, Luttrell-Corryton Rd. for interment at 2pm. The family will receive friends 6-8pm Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City.
