Diana Carter Orndorff, born May 2, 1952, passed peacefully on to eternal rest March 2, 2015. Friend to all and loved by everyone she met, member of New Beginnings Baptist Church, 1970 graduate of Karns High School, retired Knox County school teacher, worked at Tennova and JC Penny’s. Preceded in death by husband, Dan Orndorff; mother, Audrey Carter; father and mother-in-law, Joe and Blanche Orndorff. Survived by son, Daniel Orndorff; grandson, Connor Orndorff; father, James Davis Carter; brother, Benny (Karen) Carter; sisters, Emily (Larry) Gray, Betsy (Clark) Strange, Phoebe (David) Nicely; sister-in-law, Kathy (Kenny) Cloninger; extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Service will be 2p.m. Wednesday, at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Interment at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of your choice. Family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday, Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
