Dexter Lee Merritt age, 70, of Corryton, passed away at home Saturday, November 9, 2013. Member and former Pastor of Cornerstone Worship Center and also Pastored at Spring Street Baptist Church and Macedonia Baptist Church. Preceeded in death by, daughter, Teresa K. Collins, brother, Rance Merritt, sisters, Faye McFarland and Ocie Williams and parents, Herbert and Sylvia Merritt. Survivors, wife, Sandy Merritt, sons and daughters-in-law, Donny and Rhonda Merritt, Scott and Tammy Merritt, Eric “Bo” and Wendy Merritt, daughter and son-in-law, Hope and Bradley Massengile and daughter, Melanie Harmon, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, Junior and Mary Merritt, Steve and Betty Merritt, sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Dennis Drinnon and sister, Ruth Merritt. Service 8 pm Monday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, Rev. Johnny Price and Eric “Bo” Merritt officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:45 pm at Fountain Valley Church Cemetery for interment service at 2 pm. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 pm Monday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City.
