Dewayne L. Treece, 62, of Knoxville peacefully entered heavens gates October 12, 2023 surrounded by family who loved him dearly. Dewayne was a faithful, loving husband and a wonderful father who was so proud of his children. Dewayne accepted Christ as his savior at an early age and grew up singing and playing bass guitar with his family's gospel group Cedar Ridge. Dewayne served full time in ministry with Cedar Ridge sharing Jesus through song for many years. He was known to sing “How Great Thou Art” like no other and touched many hearts with his God given talent. His greatest desires were that his children and future grandchildren would know Jesus and also share the Gospel. He's a member of Parkwest Church. He graduated Halls High School with the class of 1978. Dewayne spent his childhood at his grandfather's and father's car dealerships and developed a love for cars in general but specifically muscle cars. He enjoyed local car shows and car clubs. Dewayne became the third-generation owner of Treece Motors and had a reputation of integrity and honesty.
