Dessie W. Hayes

Dessie Beverly Tindell Wolfenbarger Hayes age 85 went to be with her Lord on February 19, 2017. She was born in the Graveston Community of Corryton, TN and lived there all her life. She worked as a programmer for Standard Knitting Mill for 40 years until they closed in 1989. She retired from Knoxville Computer Corp. in 1998. She was a loyal member of Graveston Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents Timothy and Vivian Tindell; brothers, Curtis Tindell, Gerald Tindell, Alden Tindell; sister Ella Mae Tindell; first husband Johnnie Wolfenbarger. Survived by husband Ray Hayes; brother Terry (Cheryl) Tindell; sisters-in-law, Joy Tindell and Jean Tindell; step-children, David (Amy) Hayes, Mark (Amy) Hayes, Martha (Dan) Bolinger, Rebecca (Stuart) Henry; several nephews and nieces. Service will be 7pm Thursday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, Rev. Charlie Tindell officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Graveston Baptist Church Building Fund, 8319 Clapps Chapel Rd, Corryton, TN. Family and friends will meet 10:45am Friday at Greenwood Cemetery for 11am interment. Family will receive friends 5-7pm Thursday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
