Dennis Wayne Owen

Dennis Wayne Owen, age 58, of Knoxville, Tennessee went to heaven on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s and Lewy Body Dementia. He was a graduate of Halls High School and State Technical Institute of Knoxville and was an avid UT football and NASCAR racing fan. He was preceded in death by father and mother, Glen and Dorothy (Dot) Owen; brother, Tony Owen; sister, Barbara Griffin. He leaves to mourn his passing brother, Ray Owen and wife Darleta; nephews, Brian and Chris Owen; nieces Stephanie and Jessica Owen and Sarah Kirkland; 8 great-nieces and nephews; special friends Scott and Lisa Starbuck and Bo and Wanda Norman. There will be a private burial in North Carolina. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made in his honor to the National Lewy Body Dementia or Alzheimer’s Association.
