Dennis Roland Tabler

Dennis Roland Tabler, born July 24, 1933, passed away December 25, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Grace Dalton Tabler, and his wonderful, loving wife of 64 years Barbara Fleming Tabler. He is survived by his sons Jeffery and Douglas (Teresa) Tabler; grandsons Zachary (Maddy), Kole, Cameron, and Samuel Tabler. He was a member of the U.S. Navy Reserve from 1951-1959 with active duty as an aviation electronics technician in Flight Crew No. 4 of the Navy Patron VP-28 from 1953-1954. He was ordained a Deacon at Fairview Baptist Church on October 5,1969. He retired from the TVA Division of Design after 34 years, from Gilbert Commonwealth Engineering after 8 more years, and finally from Science Applications International Corp. There will be a call at convenience at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Family and friends will meet at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at 12:45pm for a 1:00pm graveside service with Dr. Jeff Laborg, Rev. Wayne Davis, and Rev. Keith Weaver officiating, as well as full military honors. Pallbearers will be Bill Millsaps, Dr. John Self, Jerry Dalton, Kenneth Cantrell, Zach Tabler, and Kole Tabler. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Evans, Cameron Tabler, Sam Tabler, Larry Goad, Perry McGinnis, and Stanley Barns.
