Demi Elkins age 86 passed away August 17, 2021. He was a lifelong member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. He retired from Plasti-line where he worked for 44 ½ years. He enjoyed showing and sharing his woodworking to everyone, including entering pieces in the fair. He was known for making homemade croissant rolls, sour dough bread, and homemade cinnamon rolls, as well as lots of Christmas candies. All of which were irresistible. He is preceded in death by parents; Rev. J.E. and Jessie Elkins, siblings; Ed, Harvey, Chad Elkins, and Geraldine Moore. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving wife of almost 68 years and caregiver, Wanda Brady Elkins, children; Foy (Julia) Elkins, Regina (Sherl) Reed, and Quint (Debbie) Elkins, grandchildren, which he was so proud of all of them; Gwen (Jeff) Bridges, Shon Mathews, Cheri, April, Gehrig, Graham, and Sophia Elkins, great-granddaughter; Makayla Bridges, several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews, as well as a host of friends. The family will receive friends at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel on Thursday, August 19, 2021, from 5:00pm-7:00pm with a service to follow at 7:00pm, with Rev. Jerry Copeland and Rev. Billy Moore officiating. Family and friends will meet Friday, August 20, 2021, at 10:15am at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel and proceed to Cedar Grove Cemetery for an 11:00am interment.
