Della Rose Maples

Della Rose Maples, age 81, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 15th, 2017. She was born in Sevier County on December 6th, 1935. Della Lived a full life with her family and loved to cook and sing gospel music. She was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church on Ball Camp Pike. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Martha Ramsey and sister Grace Loy. She leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of 63 years, George Howard Maples and beloved children: sons, Larry (Cherish) Maples, Tony (Lynda) Maples and daughter, Lisa (Charlie) Sanford and her sisters Betty Nix and Carol Adkins. She was the proud Mamaw of 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 20th, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Valley Grove Baptist Church, 7419 Ball Camp Pike, Knoxville, TN 37931. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Tennova Healthcare Hospice for providing loving and professional care for Della.
