Deborah Kay Garrison, 64, went to be with the Lord, Our God, on Saturday, January 17, 2015. Deborah was born September 20, 1950 in Hazard Kentucky and moved to Knoxville shortly thereafter. She graduated from Central High School in 1968, was married and started a family right after. She raised two children while working as the secretary for Garrison Construction. She later attended nursing school, a lifelong dream, but had to drop out to care for one of her sons that was in an auto accident. She was always a mother first, Debbie second. She was a caring mother, a PTA mom, an ALL sports mom, a wife, a friend, a sister, a caretaker, and more specifically, a great person. Throughout her life, she was called, High Pockets, Boogums, Mom, Little Debbie, Aunt Debbie, Aunt Dee Dee, Mimi, and Momma G. No matter what name she answered to, she always responded with LOVE. Preceded in death by her father, Charles Douglas Vermillion, mother, Mabel E. Vermillion; sister, Patricia Jewel and husband Thadis Adams; niece, Kathy Jo Price; nephew, Thomas E. Greene, Jr., and the father of her children, Joseph W. Garrison, Sr.

Merrell (Sam Merrell, children-Richard "Rick" A. Merrell and wife Amy Merrell).
