Deborah Dee Wilhoit

Deborah “Dee” Wilhoit, most recently of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, May 4th, 2016 at her daughter’s home in Powell after a fierce war with cancer. She was surrounded by family and the love of her life, Joe Garrison, when she left this place of existence for the next. Dee spent 55 vibrant and passionate years delighting in life, traveling the United States, and dancing to the beat of her own drum. Preceded in death by father, James Wilhoit. Survived by fiancée, Joe Garrison; children, Devon Alley and husband, Thomas, Joshua Hamilton, and wife Elizabeth; grandchildren, Aisling and Kes Alley, Ethan and Gabriella Hamilton; mother, Lucille Wilhoit; siblings, Janice Hayes and husband Martin, Rose Moore and husband Joe; niece, Stacey Walker and husband Robert; nephew, Trenton Hayes and wife Jessica; extended family and dear friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:30 pm on Saturday, May 7th, 2016 at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church, 2931 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919. A reception will immediately follow in her honor. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 2151, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38101-2151.
