Dean Wesley Yerkey

Dean Yerkey, age 55, of Maryville, TN passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021. He was a former employee at Capitol City Bolt and Screw Co., Inc. from March 2, 1998 until March 7, 2006. Preceded in death by his father, Brooks Yerkey; mother, Lottie Belle Yerkey; sisters, Rhonda Sue Yerkey McCollum and Patricia Irene Yerkey Smith. Survivors include his siblings, Linda Diane Yerkey Lane, Howard Lee Yerkey (Heather), Steven Ray Yerkey (Beth), Cindy Joe Yerkey Fox; children, Cameron White, Briana White, and Brittney White; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. A memorial service will be held at Woodfin Funeral Chapel 203 North Lowry St., Smyrna, TN. from 2-4pm. The celebration of his life reception will be held at Hilltop Rosenwald Park 565 Mason Tucker Dr., Smyrna, TN. from 4-7pm. Special thanks to all the family and friends for coming together to celebrate the loving memory of Dean Yerkey. Also, a special thanks to all the nurses and doctors at UT Medical Center for caring after him while there. Dean enjoyed music, football, softball, fishing, thrift shopping, flea markets, Chinese food, and spending time with his family and friends. He had such an outgoing personality and was a stranger to no one. He loved making people laugh and his smile was contagious. Dean loved all his siblings and will be dearly missed. He will never be forgotten and loved always.
