David R. Manning

February 19, 1959 — September 2, 2016

David R. Manning, age 57, of Powell passed away on September 2, 2016, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was an over-the-road trucker for over 30 years and an avid Harley Davidson rider. David was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church and a member of Volunteer Thunder HOG out of Knoxville Harley Davidson. He is preceded in death by his father, Everette Manning. Survivors include his wife, Shelley Manning; sons, Jason (Kristen) Manning and Travis Manning, Jess (Sherri) Cline; daughter, Shannon (Michael) Anderson; grandchildren, Jesse and Kendall Manning; Micah and Mikenna Anderson; mother, Mary Manning; sister, Kris (Jay) Swann; and special doxie child, Jazz. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or any non-kill animal shelter. The family will receive friends 5-7pm Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with funeral service to follow at 7pm. Rev. Frank Dudley officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:15 am on Tuesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel and proceed to Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery in Jefferson City for a 1pm graveside service.
