David Lynn Horsley, 63 of Knoxville went home to be with The Lord Thursday, April 14th, 2016. Mr. Horsley was a Charter member of Son Light Baptist Church and attended Tuckahoe Baptist Church, retired from Allied Signal after 31 years of service, and Rubber Maid with 8 years of service. He loved to hunt and fish. Mr. Horsley set a perfect example of how to be a friend, never met a stranger, and had an endless need to help others. Preceded in death by his father David Horsley; grandparents, Charlie and Stella Horsley, Ottis and Lillie Owens. He is survived by the love of his life for 33 and a half years, wife, Gina Horsley, the light of his eyes; son Jeremiah, and wife Kelly Horsley, Jacob and wife Victoria Horsley, his pride and joy, his grandsons, Aiden, Hudson, and Tucker, mother, Carolyn Horsley; brothers, Robert and Ricky, sister, Janice; father-in-law, Bill “Pops” Mincey and Pat Van Buren, mother-in-law, Helen Mincey, sisters-in-law, Terry Chandler and Mary Mincey, best friend, C.J. Hulen and his right hand man “Ikka,” his dog. Funeral service will be held Sunday, April 17th, 2016 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel at 7:00 p.m. Friends and family will meet at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 18th, 2016 at Mynatt Funeral Home and proceed to Greenwood Cemetery for Interment at 11:00 a.m. Family will receive friends and family from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.
