David Kenneth Wardley, age 57, of Knoxville, was born on September 26th, 1960. He was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 11th, 2017, where he will no longer have pain and suffering. He was a proud United States Marine Corps Veteran, who loved his country and what it stands for. We can all be certain he is already fishing on the other side. His grandson, Shawn, referred to his Papaw as “The smartest human in the world.” David was the most patient, calm and understanding man you would ever meet and his love was unconditional. He will never be forgotten and will be forever missed. He was preceded in death by parents James and Martha Wolfe Wardley, brother Marc. Wardley, niece Amanda Thorton, and brother-in-law William Sexton, Jr. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 20 years Kande Wardley, children Daniel and Sam Wardley, Jaycee and Justice Jackson, Lacey and Katie Wardley, grandsons Shawn “Nug” Gamble, Alley “I” Imes and Jace “Pride” Pirtle, siblings Linda, and husband Benny, Sharla, William “Bill,” Jim, and wife Teresa, aunt Nancy Williams, cousins Linda and Leslie, mother-in-law Brenda “Granda” Sexton, father-in-law William Sexton, and wife Donna, beloved brother-in-law Jonathan Sexton, and wife Elodie, special friend Derrick Jackson, and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 17th, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel, with funeral service to follow. Family and friends will meet at 11:15 a.m. for a 11:30 a.m. committal service at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, Gov. John Sevier Highway, on Wednesday October 18th, 2017.
