David Joe Tallent

David Joe Tallent, age 55 of Knoxville, made his grand homecoming reunion November 5, 2020. He was a gospel music singer, and he enjoyed his model cars and always tinkering with his tools. He was a family man whose grandchildren were his joy. David was also proud of his political views. Preceded in death by father and mother, Rev. Billy Joe Tallent and Rosemary Powell Tallent, brother Bill Marvin Tallent, brothers-in-law Curtis Ward, Gary Dennis Atkins, and Elmer Atkins, niece Kailey Sikes, mother-in-law Ella Whitehead, and sister-in-law Shirley Whitehead. He leaves behind his wife of 38 years, Kathy Sue Tallent, son Timothy (Shena Clarkson) Tallent, grandson Matthew Isaiah Tallent, sister Mitzi Tallent Ward, niece Kimberly (Roger) Sikes, nephew Curtis (April) Ward II, as well as several grandchildren.
