David Irving Munoz

David Irving Munoz, age 43 of Washburn, went home to be with the Lord November 28, 2022. David was born in Santa Maria, California in 1979 and raised near Los Alamos in the middle of ranching country. He has always loved music and when he was younger he spent many years teaching himself to play a variety of musical instruments by ear. He graduated from Valley Christian High School in Santa Maria in 1997. David was very intelligent, independent, strong-willed, stubborn, extremely loyal and loving and very protective of those he loved. In 2002 he earned an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering from ITT Technical Institute. He enjoyed shooting, tinkering with electronics and working on automobiles. He was fascinated by motorcycles and classic cars and spent a lot of years riding and driving both. He was a skilled carpenter who started learning the trade at a young age from his Dad, Rodney. They spent many years remodeling houses together right up until his passing. He was very loved by his friends and family. We are heartbroken at his early passing, but look forward to re-uniting with him again in heaven. Preceded in death by grandparents Irving and Louise Munoz, cousin Daniel Wheaton, aunt and uncle Peggy and Dick Rector, great aunt and uncle Ethel and Charlie Brown. He is survived by parents Rodney Irving Munoz and Vickie J Munoz, siblings Rebecca Eileen Eller and husband Roger, best friend Deana Raine Davis, aunts and uncles Beverly Lewis, Helen Ramsey, Barbara and Richard Campbell, Wendy and Cliff Wheaton, cousins Mark Wheaton, Sara Foust, Caleb Campbell and their children. Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm Monday, December 5, 2022, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with service to follow, Pastor Larry Brannon of Cedar Ridge Baptist Church officiating.
