David “Dave” Hoyle Norman, age 57, of Knoxville, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016. He was a devout Christian who was strong in his faith. He was a welder and a master at his craft. He was an avid fisherman and felt closest to God while on the lake. His most important role in life was father, husband, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Preceded in death by mother and father, Blanche and Lester Norman. He leaves behind loving wife, Angie Norman; son, Dylan Norman and wife Lynsie; grandchildren, Marley, Dylan, and Jamison; brothers, Carl (Gail), Buck (Nancy), Gene (Debbie), Harold (Tammy), Tracy (Alicia), Phillip (Tracey); sisters, Betty Ford (John) and Lucy Hackney (Barry); many nieces and nephews; and a close group of special friends, among them, Dean Helton, who was like a second father to him. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow, Jeff France officiating.
