David Denby Clark, Sr.

February 18, 1954 — March 24, 2025

Knoxville

David Denby Clark Sr., lovingly known as "Pops", took the final road trip to his heavenly home on March 24, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones.

David was born on February 18, 1954 in Nashville, Tennessee where he met his loving, devoted wife of 52 years, Linda Lee while attending McGavock High School.  Life later took he and his family to Knoxville where he was a business owner and later a regional sales director in publishing.

Pops' greatest joys in life were his wife, children and grandchildren.  He has left behind a legacy of love that will carry on for a lifetime.  He never met a stranger and remembered everyone's first name whether it be the CEO or janitor.  He devoted years to coaching soccer and eventually had the honor to coach his grandkids in various sports, never missing a sporting event.  He took pride in the special bonds he shared with each grandchild.  His friendly, loving spirit will never be forgotten.  He was a fierce competitor in sports, cards and corn hole and spent his most cherished time with family.  He was the host with the most and his cooking skills were unmatched.  He made everything an adventure, bringing joy and laughter to everyone he met and everything he did.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Lee Sr. and Shirley Clark; mother-in-Law, Alice Sadler and father-in-Law, Harry Lehman Sadler; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Scott Sadler.  He is survived by his Loving wife, Linda Lee Clark; daughter, Carrie (Russell) Hill; son, David Clark, Jr.; daughter, Chelsey (Adam) Henry; grandchildren Jackson Clark, Adalyn and Hayslee Hill, Charlie, Bennett and Cooper Henry; brothers, Tom (Liz) Clark, Mark (Sally) Clark; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Cindy Kuchta and brother-in-law, John Sadler along with many cherished nieces and nephews.

While hearts are heavy from missing our sweet Pops we rejoice and find comfort in knowing he is now singing with the angels. Rest easy, Pops. We will see you on the other side.

A celebration of life in his honor will take place at a future date.
