Darrell Hensley

Darrell Hensley age 88, of Knoxville, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025. He was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church. He was the owner of Hensley IGA for forty-six years. His life was devoted to his family and business. Darrell loved trips to Florida and Pigeon Forge and in his spare time he loved to play gin and listen to “Duke FM.” He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Christine; parents, Clyde and Eula Hensley; brother, David; and sister, Doris Norris. He is survived by his children, DeWayne (Michelle) and Jeff (Amy) Vincent; brothers, Doyle and W.C. Hensley; grandchildren, Tara, Blake, Cody, Lauren and Landon; great-grandchildren, Abbey and Beckham. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, followed by a 7:00 pm funeral service, officiated by Rev. Nick Maples and Rev. Barry Silver. Family and friends will meet Friday, January 17, 2025, at 10:45 am at Milan Cemetery for an 11:00 am graveside service. Serving as pallbearers; Blake Hensley, Cody Hensley, Landon Hensley, Jordan Williams, Jordon McKelvey, and Greg Phipps. The family would like to especially thank his personal caregivers over the years for all their love and support.
