Darrell Glenn Covington

Darrell Covington, age 62, of Knoxville went to earn his wings on April 30, 2021. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents Mabel, Buck, and Jack. Brother Tommy, sister June “Nanny”, and adopted son David. He is survived by his loving wife Debbie Covington, his two fur-babies Chiko, Pickle, children Sarah (Travis) Gibbons, Sally (Brad) Huffaker, Shannon Walker, grandchildren Kayla, Jake, Tyler, Haley, Riyah, Courtney, and Josh, great-grandchildren Peyton, Miley, and Corina. Darrell had many brothers and sisters who he loved dearly. He will be missed by many. If he could say anything to us right now it would be Glory, Glory, Glory, I got my wings and I’m cradled in the arms of Jesus. “Go Jesus.” The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm Monday, May 3, 2021 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City followed by a 7:00 pm Celebration of Life, Rev. Mark Covington officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:45am Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Pollard Cemetery for a 12-noon graveside service.
