Darlow Dean "Woody" Lawson

Darlow Dean “Woody” Lawson, age 73, of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a deacon at Hilltop Baptist Church since September, 1984. Preceded in death by parents, Paris and Thelma Lawson; brother, Doug; sisters, Joann and Nola. Survived by wife of 52 years, Carolyn Johnson Lawson; sons, Todd Lawson, Blake Lawson and wife Terri, Ashley Lawson; grandchildren, Cooper, Kendall, Rachael, Sydney, and Kyleigh; brothers, Alvis Lawson and Billy Lawson; sister, Nip Lawson; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow at 8 pm with Rev. Tim Day and Rev. Lee Strunk officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 am Saturday at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for 11:00 am interment.
