Curtis Oakland Tindell, age 82, went home to be with his loving Savior on March 11, 2013. He was a devoted preacher, pastor, loving and caring husband and father; a veteran who served in the Korean Conflict. Member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. He pastored many churches throughout his life and touched many people’s lives. He leaves behind his sweetheart of 60 years, Joy Weaver Tindell; sons and daughters-in-law, Charlie and Pam Tindell, Tim and Robin Tindell, Joel and Tina Tindell; grandchildren, Dustin, Carly, Cody, Shamus, Whittney, Dalton, and Dakota Tindell; step granddaughter, Nakisha Mannino; great-grandchildren, Lucy, Jack, and Hallie Tindell; step great-grandchildren, Karson and Karter; sister, Dessie Hayes; brother, Terry Tindell; brother-in-law, Frank Weaver; several nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. God blessed this world with a precious husband, father and friend. 2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Funeral service 8:00 pm Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Rev. Charlie Tindell, Rev. Tim Inklebarger, Rev. Frank Weaver officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:15 am Friday at Greenwood Cemetery for 11:30 interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion Hill Baptist Church, 255 Foster Road, Heiskell, TN 37754 or church of your choice. Family will receive friends 5:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
