Curtis "David" Childress

Curtis (David)Childress, 71 of Knoxville, TN met his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 with his loving wife of 50 years Darlene Childress and his one and only baby girl Kristi Gibson by his side. He is preceded in death by his toddler sister Alma Childress; his brother Jimmy Childress; his father and mother Rev. Curtis J. Childress, Irene Childress. David was a member and also usher at Arrowhead Church Of God of Prophecy. His family will miss him so, but also knows he’s no longer in pain. His son in law Rev. Kevin Gibson and his daughter Kristi Gibson gave him the joys of his life his five grandchildren Logan, Ryan, Leah, Rylei and Kloei Gibson. David had two other brothers, Jackie Childress and Kenneth Childress, he also had several nieces and nephews. He also had a special friend/ Brother John Phipps. A Celebration of Life will be held at Arrowhead Church Of God of Prophecy (3113 West John Sevier Highway Knoxville, Tn 37920) on Saturday, November 2,2024 from  2:00pm to 4:00p.m. Pastor Terry Barnwell will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, we ask that Donations be sent to Tennessee State Bank in Seymour, Tn under the name Kristi Gibson (Donations) to help pay for medical expenses occurred.
