Breyar Scott Phillips, age 25, of Knoxville, passed away August 20, 2017. Cpl. Phillips was a proud veteran, serving for the United States Marine Corps. He was also an avid UT fan. He loved to spend time with his kids, especially outdoors. He was in love with fishing, and helped his son, Kayden, catch his first fish. He loved to be on the lake or anywhere that allowed him to be fishing on land, kayak, or boat. He spent his last weeks doing exactly what he loved to do. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Bobby “Pappy” & Peggy Barnes; step-grandfather, Bill Galyon. Breyar is survived by his wife, Brooklyn Phillips; son, Kayden Randall Phillips; daughter, Kinsley Ann Phillips; mother and step-father, Jeannie & Ronnie Galyon; father and step-mother, Scott & Kristi Phillips; brother, Ryan Galyon and wife, Savannah; sisters, Brylee Galyon, Brinkley Galyon, Morgan Sharp, and Olivia Sharp; grandparents, Jack & Carolyn Phillips; step grandparents, Richard & Kathy Wilson, Carolyn Jones, and Ron Richardson. The family will receive friends 5-8pm Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, with service to follow at 8pm. Family and friends will meet by 8:15 am, Thursday, August 24, 2017, at the funeral home to go in procession to East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Gov.
