Cora Cooper Murrell, of Knoxville, at the incredible age of 95, got the heavenly call she had been waiting for on Sunday morning, December 18th, 2016. She would always say “I don’t know why God is leaving me here, but He will call for me when He is ready.” She was blessed to live a long, healthy life. She enjoyed reading her daily devotional and sitting at the table at Autumn Care reading the newspaper or cutting out the funnies while drinking her coffee, as well as participating in activities such as playing cards and bingo. Her family wants to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Autumn Care Assisted Living in Karns for the loving care they provided to her. She was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Mollie Cooper, and siblings, Ada Scarbrough and Jess Cooper. She leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends with personal memories of her. Cora loved flowers; so in her memory and in lieu of flowers, please send flowers to someone you care about. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 22nd, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel, and will be traveling in procession to Bell’s Campground Cemetery for graveside services that will immediately follow. John Evans, Jeff King, Brandon Parks, Steve Parks, and Eugene York will serve as pallbearers. Please leave online condolences at www.mynattfh.com.
