Columbus B. Sexton

Columbus B Sexton, age 79 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord Thursday, January 16, 2014. He was retired from the Navy. Preceded in death by parents, Caswell and Mattie Sexton; brother, William; sisters, Esther Medlin, Lottie Walls, and Delthia Bridges. Survived by loving wife of 55 years, Ruby Lee (Tankersley) Sexton; sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Kitty, Tim and Sue; daughter, Laura; grandchildren Michael and fiancé Jenna, Jennifer and husband Kellen, Jordan, Tristan, Sarah and husband Jason; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Kelly and husband Bobby, Flora Johnson and husband Charles; brother, Lewis. Funeral service 8:00 pm Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Brother Harry Whitsell officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 am Monday at Elk Fork Baptist Church Cemetery, Elk Valley for 11:00 am interment. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
