Clyde Wayman Free

Clyde Wayman Free, age 73 of Knoxville, TN passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.  He served in the United States Army and was a proud Vietnam veteran who loved his country.  He was a loving father and devoted Papaw.

He was preceded in death by Pat Leeper; siblings, Donald, Joyce, Robert, Claude, Howard, John and Alvin.

Clyde is survived by his children, Reginna (Jimmy) Williams, Tony (Jennie) Free and Krysty Kennedy; siblings, Albert and Judy; grandchildren, Abigail, Jayden, Parker, Hannah Kate, Cassidy, Maddie, Micah, Bella and Ellie.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel, with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm.  Pastor Charlie Lynch officiating.  Family and friends will meet at 9:00 am, Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel, and go in procession to East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery for a 10:00 am interment service with military honors by the East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard.  Pallbearers will be Tony Free, Jayden Free, Parker Free, Kristopher Witt and Mike Dinsmore.  In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made in honor of Clyde Wayman Free to Honor Air Knoxville at www.honorairknoxville.com.
